Somebody sent me these two comments which they got off the BBC website whilst doing some research.

1. Alistair Darling used to belong to, maybe he still does as he has never denied he is no longer a member, of the International Maxist Community which as part of its policy, wanted to see the State and policical ownership of capital and the banking system.

Its seems as the Maxists in this country have got their wish.

We should be scared of the State owning banks and becoming involved ...

I have just read about Hackney Council's persecution of a woman stallholder, for selling fruit and veg in pounds and ounces instead of kilos.

I bet they feel really proud of themselves, another arch criminal caught bang to rights, and now with a criminal record as well, so anything she does in the future will be watched very closely.

Good old Labour eh?

Green taxes are far higher than is necessary to offset the cost of Britain's carbon emissions, a pressure group has claimed.

Households pay £19.6 billion a year too much in taxes on flights, fuel and their cars, the TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA) said.

The total burden of green taxes and charges was £24.2 billion in 2007/08 - even though the social cost of the UK's entire output of greenhouse gases was £4.6 billion, according to estimates from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ...

He accused the Government of "arrogance" for pressing ahead with ratifying the treaty against public opinion.

After calling on Mr. Brown to make a statement on Monday, David added that the British people should now be given the referendum they deserve.

I just looked up fuel prices in Spain, compared to here in the UK.

In Spain Unleaded = 87p a litre. Diesel = 83p a litre

Here it is £1.13 for Unleaded and £1.24 for Diesel (and rising)

That is 26p difference on Unleaded and 41p difference on Diesel.

Bear in mind that Spain and all the other European countries get their fuel from the same source as us. The only reason we are the most expensive is, Gordon-tax the family-Brown.

Taken from the Telegraph 27/02/2008

In the past 12 months, London has seen approximately 150 murders, 2,000 rapes and 94,000 burglaries. But now the police have found a real villain.

Boris Johnson, Conservative candidate for Mayor of London, is accused of purloining invaluable "Iraqi cultural property" in 2003 - to whit, a cigar case owned by Tariq Aziz, Saddam's foreign minister.

Mr Johnson would have got away scot-free but, like all criminal masterminds, he made one ...

RED KEN AGAIN

I dread switching the 6pm news onto my TV now. Every blinking night that awful bloody, Livingstone man is there, with his whining voice, and his no godd bunch of mates, constantly conning us Londoners out of what little is left of our money after Brown and his cohorts have finished with it.

His latest wheeze, if you haven't already heard about it, is to charge haulage companies £200 to bring their vehicles into London. Oh, you can get out of it, newt faced Ken tells us, simply by spending ...

Rod Liddle says that the ban exemplifies all that is wrong with Labour: nannying piety, control freakery and an endless capacity for lies. What's more, it's put him to considerable inconvenience

LIVINGSTONE DID WHAT?

With just 3 months to go before Londoners are given the chance to finally get rid of that waste of space, known as Ken Livingstone, I defy anyone to point out one decent thing that has worked for Londoners, which Livingstone has done since he came to power, some eleven years ago.

If you hate pigeons, then I suppose you could say he did something good by killing all the pigeons in Trafalgar Square. If you hate motorists, you could say that he has penalised them so much (not got rid of them) ...

More Police Powers?

The police are talking about Random Breath Tests again for motorists.

Why?

This Christmas, the number of breath tests administered was 6% up on last year, but the number of drivers who actually failed, was 20% less.

In other words, the general public are heeding warnings not to drink and drive, so why do the police suddenly want more powers, to stop and breathalyse yet more already persecuted motorists?

We didn't block their pay rise, so why pick on us?

RIP OFF BRITAIN

We now live in one of the biggest fleeced nations in Europe. Every single day we are being fleeced, if not by our Government, then through local councils and service providers.

We pay more income tax than any other country in Europe, we pay more local taxes in the form of Council tax, gas and electricity prices are the highest, train fares, bus fares, all the highest.

Even our banks are allowed to rip us off to an extent, which in any other country, would get them into very deep water. ...

When I saw Hillary Clinton blubbing the other night on TV, I thought who the hell is going to be fooled by all that old hogwash?

Now I read that she has overtaken Senator Obama at the last minute, and I thought that American voters were a lot more astute than us in the UK.

What is wrong with people these days, a woman sheds a few tears and she is on the way to becoming the head of the most powerful nation in the world.

Hillary wasn't crying for America, she was crying at the ...

If I bought a new TV which was Blu-Ray, would I need a DVD player and recorder to match, and would I still be able to play my old normal DVD discs?
