RIP OFF BRITAIN Empty RIP OFF BRITAIN

We now live in one of the biggest fleeced nations in Europe. Every single day we are being fleeced, if not by our Government, then through local councils and service providers.

We pay more income tax than any other country in Europe, we pay more local taxes in the form of Council tax, gas and electricity prices are the highest, train fares, bus fares, all the highest.

Even our banks are allowed to rip us off to an extent, which in any other country, would get them into very deep water.
This Government seems to think that we are just a bunch of fools, who will stand for anything, after all, that is exactly what we have done for the past ten years. Look at the taxes we now have to pay on flights. For an ordinary family of four people going on a normal two week holiday to Europe, we are now paying something like an average of £200 more in taxes than we did five years ago.

The Government's excuse for all this added taxation, is that it will help the environment, which, as any sane person knows, is absolute rubbish. If you get the same amount of people flying as you did five years ago, how the hell does that help anything, apart from the Government's coffers, which at the end of the day, make sure they carry on getting their enormous perks and pensions.

Remember when Ken Livingstone promised to cut congestion on the streets of London by imposing a Congestion Charge? That worked exactly the same as the Government's schemes, we all paid, because we had no choice to do otherwise, and Livingstone coined it in, and what happened to the Congestion on our roads? They became more congested, and more polluted.

Tell me your stories about being ripped off, and what you think we should do about it?

As I just said on another thread, we need to get up off our arses and vote this stinking government out now
