More Police Powers?
The police are talking about Random Breath Tests again for motorists.
Why?
This Christmas, the number of breath tests administered was 6% up on last year, but the number of drivers who actually failed, was 20% less.
In other words, the general public are heeding warnings not to drink and drive, so why do the police suddenly want more powers, to stop and breathalyse yet more already persecuted motorists?
We didn't block their pay rise, so why pick on us?

I wish we could vote on police chiefs, like they can in the USA, maybe that would teach our big headed police chiefs a thing or two. Most of them are as thick as two planks.

The average policeman isn't exactly the brightest boy in the class is he. Unless someone reads him, or her, those figures, I doubt very much whether he'd ever be able to read them for himself.
Make them do intellegence tests first, and if they pass that, then maybe a payrise would be on the cards?
